Sports

In terms of professional sports, Horsens has teams in the best Danish league in various sports such as football, basketball and women's handball.

All of these teams play at Forum Horsens which is a very modern sports facility centre with a brand new football stadium seating 10,000 people. There is also a big indoor arena used for basketball and handball that seats 3,500 people.

Films

Megascope is the only cinema in Horsens, but it is brand new with 6 movie theatres and always offers the latest movie releases.

Bowling

There is also an excellent bowling alley in town called Bowl'n'Fun and they offer so-called "powerbowling" with discolights and loud music on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9PM.

Concerts

Horsens has made a habit of attracting big name artists such as Robbie Williams, Madonna, Rolling Stones and many more. These large concerts attract people from all over the country and this is one of the things that help highlight Horsens on the map.

Theater

Horsens Ny Teater is the city's main theater and this venue hosts events varying from musicals and ballet to concerts and stand-up comedy.

Festivals

Every year, on the last weekend of August, the European Medieval Festival fills the main street of Horsens. The festival aims to present everyday life in Horsens in the period 1350-1536. This is the biggest medieval festival in Europe and people come from near and far to join the fun.

There is also a full day music festival every year called Horsens Rocker. This event takes place in May/June and attracts some of the biggest bands in Denmark.
